Swar Samvad – AI-Based Multilingual Voice Assistant

Innovator ID

SNDMAC008

Multilingual AI voice assistant enabling hands-free computer control and accessibility for regional-language users, enhancing digital inclusion and independence.

  • Most existing voice assistants primarily support English, making them difficult to use for people who speak regional languages. In India, only around 10% of internet users are English-speaking, while the remaining majority prefer Hindi, Marathi, or other local languages. This language gap restricts access to technology, particularly for students, senior citizens, rural users, and visually impaired individuals who rely on voice-based interaction. Current assistants also require constant internet access and raise privacy concerns. There is a strong need for an easily accessible, customizable, multilingual voice assistant that supports hands-free computing and bridges the digital divide.

  • Swar Samvad understands voice commands in multiple Indian languages and performs system tasks using Python-based speech recognition and automation. It enables hands-free control of devices without requiring constant internet or external servers, making digital interaction simpler, faster, and more accessible.

  • Primary users include students, visually impaired users, elderly individuals, and regional-language speakers who prefer voice-based interaction. Secondary customers include schools, colleges, NGOs working in digital literacy, community learning centers, and accessibility support organizations. Developers and tech learners can also adopt it for building advanced voice applications. The assistant can be integrated into public kiosks, libraries, and local service centers to improve accessibility.

  • Swar Samvad makes technology more inclusive and usable for individuals who struggle with English or manual device operation. It enhances accessibility for differently-abled users and supports hands-free productivity. Institutions benefit by offering a digital tool that improves confidence, independence, and digital literacy. The product is low-cost, offline-capable, and customizable for multiple use cases, making it valuable for both personal and institutional adoption. It delivers functional convenience + social impact, providing strong practical value.
